5/22-5/24 Hotel & Casual Lunch/Drink Cruise?

Hi all -

I will be in the city from 5/22-5/24 (2 nights). Since I am not staying 3 nights, I am unable to get the discount offered through the Omni or Swissotel. Any other ideas for decent deals? I want to stay near Michigan/Navy Pier/Millenium Park, if possible. There are two of us traveling.

Also, any suggestions on day cruises...maybe one that cruises for 2-4 hours...with lunch or snacks...and cocktails? Is there a reputable link I could review?

I have to admit - a bit nervous about the whole bidding thing since you never know where you will end up! Maybe I should give it a try. I am still comparing prices on hotels...last time, I was at the Affinia...I think I would like to be a bit closer to Millenium Park and Navy Pier this time.

I wonder if anyone has PERSONAL recommendations on the cruises. I see there are some fireworks cruises...has anyone ever been and is it worth it? But, we also thought it might be cool to just spend a couple of hours on the water during the day, especially if the weather is nice.
