Store hours on Memorial Day

I%26#39;m working on my itinerary for a trip to Chicago which includes Memorial Day. I%26#39;ve been getting great tips from this forum. I have one question though - would all the shops on the Magnificent Mile (including malls like Water Tower Place) be open on Memorial Day and, if so, would they be open normal Monday hours or would it be shorter hours (like Sunday hours).

Store hours on Memorial Day

The shops on the Mag Mile will probably be open Sunday-type hours for Memorial Day (i.e. 10 or 11 to 6). I know the Public Transportation (especially our train system, METRA) runs on a Sunday Schedule for holidays like Memorial Day.
