We are coming in to town for Thursdays game %26amp; looking for somewhere with some energy Friday night for dinner...with kids. Great food, great atmosphere. The kids are around 10 years old.
Any suggestions for lodging?
Thanks - we don%26#39;t have tickets yet, but were hoping to find four from a %26#39;scalper%26#39;
Cubs May 14th 2:30 - tickets, where to eat, play %26amp; stay???
Stay downtown. This is a good deal - hotels.travelzoo.com/chicago-hotels/579643
You can get to Wrigley Field from downtown on the CTA red line train. www.transitchicago.com for details.
There are literally 100s of restaurants here to choose from. www.chicagoreader.com has a great dining search tool. Read reviews and search by area, cuisine, budget etc.

There is a nice Hilton Garden Inn at State and Grand which is where a Red Line stop is located. Some good eats close including Rock Bottom Brewery, ESPN Zone, and some deep dish pizza joints. The bars around Wrigley are a lot of fun for adults before and after games but IMO not so much for kids. Very loud, very crowded. Be careful with scalpers. Check the Cubs website first and the Wrigley box office on game day.
if you are looking for a more kid friendly place before or after the game, would suggest you checkout the southport area (Southport street for 2 or 3 blocks north and south of Addison). it is only about 5 blocks from Clark/addison and is more kid ready for your family.
