Frank Sinatra? Comedy club?

My husband is a big Frank Sinatra fan...are there any old hang outs worth visiting? Also - any comedy club worth going to on a Wednesday or Thursday night?

Frank Sinatra? Comedy club?

Frank Sinatra loved the Pump Room on North State Parkway. He also loved Twin Anchors Rib place on North Sedgewick. I think he has a booth at Twin Anchors. Even without the allure of Frank, both establishments are worth a visit. For comedy in Chicago, go to the legendary Seocond City on Wells street. It%26#39;s not stand up in as much as it is skits like saturday night live. I hear that this particular review is heavy on local politics vs. national so if you don%26#39;t know who Rod Blago is, you probably won%26#39;t get alot of jokes. For stand up comedy, down the street is Zanies. However, I have gone a few times to Zanies and have not laughed. However, I laugh all the time at Carolines in TImes Square so it%26#39;s not me.

Absolutely exactly as HappiTraveler describes it. Twin Anchors is ribs but an old Sinatra hangout. Many pictures and stories on the wall. Have a drink at the bar, enjoy the ribs. Very Chicago. In Old Town. Get a T Shirt...absolutely no dancing.

Green Mill is uptown is an old Chicago landmark, also the bar in the Chicago movie ';Theif';

If you are looking for comedy you have the old haunts of Second City, IO (formerly Improv Olympic).

I recently saw a show called Mission Improvable, show resembles ';Whose Line is it Anway'; really great show, very funny. Show was at the Center Center for performing arts I think.

Have Fun
