In Chicago for 2 days - must dos!!

Hi All

We will be in Chicago for a couple of days in July - what does everyone recommend we do to really get an idea of the city? So far all we have planned is going somewhere for deep dish pizza and seeing the Magnificent Mile %26amp; Sears Tower.

Any suggestions would be great.

';Must dos'; are different for everyone. Without knowing your particular interests, it%26#39;s difficult to offer suggestions. www.explorechicago.org is a good site to do some research on your own. Feel free to ask more specific questions and we%26#39;ll be happy to help.

www.transitchicago.com for public transit information. A CTA visitor pass might come in handy for your visit.

Architecture tours, museums, boat rides, baseball games, concerts in millenium park, outdoor films in the park, summer dancing in the park, venetian boat parade, oak street beach, lunch at the giant boat on north ave beach, the city zoo, jazz clubs, blues clubs, navy pier.

I am a big fan of the boat rides and all things on this website. I would consider going up in the Hancock instead of the Sears Tower. It is about the same but you will already be on the Mag. Mile and the Sears Tower is a bit out of the way of most things to see.

Definitely do the architectural boat cruise on the river. It%26#39;s a great way to view the city and visit the loop. I would also recommend the Art Institute and Millenium Park for the ';Bean.'; The aquarium is being renovated and the oceanarium is closed but you still get a stunning view of downtown from that area of the city.
