restaurant on Michigan Ave.

Any thoughts on a moderately priced restaurant on Michigan Ave? I%26#39;ve looked thru the restaurant reviews but I%26#39;m not finding anything that jumps out. Ideally, we%26#39;ll try M. Henry (as it%26#39;s got great reviews) but our time may be limited and our hotel is on Michigan Ave., so we may have to eat somewhere close...

Thanks for any ideas!

Yes, M Henry is pretty darn far. I think they also only do breakfast and lunch...a great place, but not a destination restaurant, IMO.

Feast on Delaware is good and in the M Henry mold, I think. But there other choices...Frontera Grill, Brasserie Jo and Kiki%26#39;s Bistro . Sayat Nova. Rockit. A Mano. Coco Pazzo Cafe. Heaven on Seven. I think they all serve lunch, some slightly higher than M Henry lunch prices, but close (more for dinner, obviously).

www.chicagoreader.com has a good dining search tool. You can read reviews and search by budget, area, cuisine etc.

Where on Mich Ave?

We%26#39;re staying on South Michigan Ave at the Hilton Chicago. Looks like Frontera Grill might be a good option. Some in the group are vegetarians so I checked out the menu and there were some options. Thanks again for all the help!

Just an FYI - your hotel is on south Michigan Ave. Frontera is in the River North neighborhood. Easily accessible via cab or public transit.

FYI Frontera Grill usually has a wait, I believe their policy is still not reservations but you can check their website.

Down in the south loop

Mercat is fantastic, tho pricey...but if your group can control themselves better than we can, maybe you can keep costs down cuz it%26#39;s tapas. Frontera does take reservations, but not very many. So if you want to go, call them now. As previous posters point out, it wouldn%26#39;t be very walkable. But just a 10 minute cab ride.

Closer to your hotel is Amarit (Thai) and Oysy (japanese/sushi), both good. I also really like Trattoria Caterina. Nothing revolutionary, but the food is great.

If it was up to me, tho, I%26#39;d make a reservation, spring for cab fare and go to Frontera.
