To Transfer or Not to Transfer

Will be leaving Midway to go to Hotel Burnham and planning on taking the Orange line from the airport. Will it be quicker to stay on the Orange line until State/Lake or Randolph/Wabash or to Transfer to the Red line at Roosevelt to Lake? About how long do you think the quickest route will take?

To Transfer or Not to Transfer

It%26#39;s up to you, you are probably only talking about 3-5 mins difference in time. If you are not wanting to walk at all, transfer at Roosevelt to Red (Howard trains), to Washington.

If you don%26#39;t mind walking a little, just stay on the Orange line till Washington and Wells, its only 3-4 blocks from there.

To Transfer or Not to Transfer

Scratch that, Washington Stop is still under construction, you would want to get out at Lake, if you switch to the Redline.

The hotel is about 4 blocks south of the State/Lake station right on state street. Don%26#39;t transfer, stay on the orange line and just walk right down state.

If you do decide to transfer between lines, I recommend you do it at the Roosevelt stop. It%26#39;s a handicapped accessible stop, meaning it has elevators--which may help if you have alot of luggage.

Easiest is to stay on the Orange Line until State and Lake, exit and walk two blocks south on State Street to your hotel. You%26#39;ll get a good look at the fabulous Chicago Theater sign this way, and get something of a feel for the area. You can also exit at the earlier stop of Washington and Wells and walk four blocks east to State Street.
