I am taking my mother and daughter to Peoria for the weekend. This will be our first time. We are staying at the Pere Marquette (my mother has always wanted to stay in this hotel)
I am hoping for some ideas on fun things to do. I was thinking of going to the brunch at the Wildlife park. Then some fun on the riverfront--maybe just a nice stroll. Any thoughts? My mother enjoys history and nature. Thank you so much!

Mothers Day Weekend
If you do not have reservations, I hear that the brunch fills up almost a year in advance for Mother%26#39;s Day.
Most things on the riverfront are closed on Sundays, but the Illinois Antique Center on Water Street is open.
Saturday the riverfront farmer%26#39;s market should be going on, which is nice, and there is a nice walking/biking path along the river.
Thank you so much!
I will certainly check on the brunch. The farmers market sounds like she would enjoy it.
Thanks again!
RiverFront Market does not open until June. If the weather is cooperating, just walking along the riverfront can be enjoyable. Trail goes for a couple miles actually.

If you%26#39;re into hiking and nature, then I would recommend the Forest Park Nature Center.
