Anyone been to the John Deere Plant? At what age do you think children would enjoy this if their crazy about John Deere and farming? Also, how long would you allow (1/2 day, 1 day)? Anything else for kids to do in Moline or surrounding areas?

We are interested in visiting the John Deere plant but we need to know how to go about it. We are planning a trip to Moline between July 11 to July 13. How much does it cost to go through the plant? Do they have scheduled tours? What are the hours? If you don%26#39;t have this information, could you give us a phone number or email address where we can find this information. Thank you!

Just an update- My family visited the Harvester works facility within a few miles of the Pavilion. This is where they make combines but there are other facilities in different areas of the midwest. The people at John Deere are very nice and helpful, but there are age restrictions because this is a guided tour on a people ';wagon'; through a working production facility. It is totally geared to adults. My kids were just old enough and enjoyed it but it is strictly educational and not ';for'; kids. Many senior citizens were on the tour, most of the remainder were adult farmers and if you buy a new combine (they run over $120,000) you can come the day they make it and drive it off the assembly line.
